How to explore

Playback. Replay the development, begin again or return to the developed view. Speed changes the playback rate; the timeline lets you revisit a stage.

View. Drag the universe to rotate it. Scroll or use + and − to zoom. Choose Cutaway or Thin slice, then select an axis, thickness or section position.

Explore. Click a light to follow it, or choose Inspect a system. Overview returns to the full view. Pressure regions and 3D / 4D / 3D markers can be switched on separately.

This is an authored visual development, not a calculated physical outcome or a measured galaxy catalogue. A fixed, seeded network of continuous, gently curved filaments supplies a coherent final geometry. An initial diffuse population fills the same fixed volume; later strands gather from broader neighbourhoods. Regional timing differences, gradual appearance and smooth paths reconstruct matter gathering around increasingly apparent voids. Rewinding visits exactly the same history.

Geometry is illustrative, inspired by interconnected irregular voids in Cosmicflows maps. No catalogue or third-party mesh has been imported. Softly blended light populations with irregular transverse spread form the filaments; no connecting lines are drawn. Lights are sampled galaxy and stellar-system populations; their size on screen is not their physical diameter. The pressure colours illustrate the FAiM interpretation and are not a pressure solution. The 3D/4D/3D overlay retains 15-million-light-year connections; these can be smaller than a pixel in the wide view.

Reference volume remains fixed at 7.415 billion light-years per side. Development progress does not imply a calibrated cosmic age. Speed changes playback only.

The wider architecture

The Unified Medium framework begins with the Medium Unit (MU) and explores how its organisation and flows could connect matter across scales. The universe above is a reconstructed visual development informed by that architecture. The books present the underlying ideas; FAiM explores their application to advanced-materials design.

The cosmic web explores intake, return and the formation of structure in a moving medium. Planned explorations include a galaxy taking shape, with star+ populations, black-hole growth and their surrounding flow; and the development from a Medium Unit to a loop, and from three loops to an atomic core.
